Why review every year

This year's plan may not fit in 2027

If you do nothing, you may be renewed into a plan whose price, network or financial help has changed. Check these four things first:

💲

Financial help

Your tax credit is based on your expected 2027 income.

Tap to see what to check ↻

What to check

Update your household size and income estimate for 2027. The enhanced tax credits expired after 2025, so your help may be different this year.

We'll check it for you →

🏷️

Premiums

Your plan's monthly price can change, even if nothing else does.

Tap to see what to check ↻

What to check

Compare your 2027 premium after financial help with other plans in your county. Don't assume last year's price.

We'll check it for you →

🩺

Doctors & hospitals

Doctors and hospitals can leave a plan's network.

Tap to see what to check ↻

What to check

Confirm your doctors, specialists and hospital are in-network for 2027 before you renew.

We'll check it for you →

💊

Prescriptions

Medicines can move tiers or drop off a plan's drug list.

Tap to see what to check ↻

What to check

Look up every medication on the 2027 drug list, plus the deductible and out-of-pocket maximum.

We'll check it for you →

Questions people ask us

When is Open Enrollment for 2027 health insurance?
In states that use HealthCare.gov, Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage runs November 1, 2026 through January 15, 2027. Enroll by December 15 for coverage that starts January 1. Connecticut, Georgia, Maryland, and Virginia set their own dates.
What if I miss the deadline?
After Open Enrollment ends, you can only enroll or change plans if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period, for example after losing other coverage, moving, marrying or having a baby.
Does working with an agent cost more?
No. There's no fee to you, and your premium is the same as enrolling on your own. Agents are paid by the insurance company.
What if I just let my plan auto-renew?
You may be renewed automatically, but your premium, network or financial help can change for 2027. A quick review makes sure you're not paying more than you need to.
Do I qualify for a tax credit in 2027?
It depends on your household size, income, and where you live. The enhanced tax credits expired at the end of 2025 and have not been renewed. Unless Congress acts, 2027 tax credits are generally limited to households earning between 100% and 400% of the Federal Poverty Level. We'll estimate yours during your review.
What should I have ready?
An estimate of your household income for 2027, everyone's date of birth, and a list of your doctors and prescriptions. For the application we'll also need Social Security numbers for the people applying.
I'm turning 65 soon. Is this for me?
At 65 most people move to Medicare, which has its own enrollment windows. See our Medicare Annual Enrollment page or call us.
Which states do you serve?
We're licensed in 15 states: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Reviews are by phone or video.
